JIM OWEN, was
inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame on August
28, 2007 during the National Traditional Country
Music Association's (NTCMA) annual old time music festival to
be held in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Of course Jim Owen is no
stranger to Halls of Fame - His August 28th Hall of Fame
induction it is his fifth hall of fame to honor him. He
already has a display in the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, he is
a "Friend" in the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in Carthage,
Texas (he can't be a full member because he was not born in
Texas), he is a member of the Branson Entertainers Hall of Fame,
and a member of the George D. Hay Foundation and Country Music
Hall of Fame.
Jim'S Book, autobiography as you
may, has won the AWARD (this is truly a high honor) for the best
autobiography/biography to be published by Amazon this coming year.

GOOD NEWS FOR JIM
JIM has permanent custody of Tabitha Marie Floyd, his
great-granddaughter, and the eight-year-old is changing her name
to Tabitha Marie Owen. Marie Owen was JIM's mother's name. He
got custody on Jan., 14th 2009.

JIM will be
in Birmingham at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center July 18th
for one show and in Eldora, Iowa August 8 and 9th (that is Saturday
and Sunday) for two shows on Saturday and one on Sunday.
"In May, The Jim
Owen Show performed at the Old Creamery Theatre in The Amanas,
Iowa, sponsored by the Canopy Masonic Lodge (where Jim is a
member). The show was so successful, the Lodge was able to award
five scholarships to deserving Clear Creek/Amana High School
seniors from the proceeds, according to Larry Osborne, Canopy
Lodge Master. Jim returns to the Old Creamery Theatre in 2008
for a encore performance."
